3. What are the basic security requirements?

• Radio signal alarm system linked to a warden response service.
• SABS Category Graded safe / strong room - the grading required will depend on the sum insured and the location of the risk.
  
• For those risks that face onto the street or a car park and are not in enclosed shopping malls, we will require a security gate that is electronically operated, allowing for controlled customer access to the premises.
  
• Physical protection to doors and windows accessible from outside the building.
  
• Keys to the premises, safes and alarm to be removed from the premises after close of business (cabinet, display window keys may be left in a locked safe).
  
• All display cabinets / windows must be kept locked.
